Having to reset Alexa on Sonos Arc

Hi

 

Had the Arc set up with Alexa voice control. All fine until yesterday. Alexa stopped responding. Went into settings to cancel, then re enabled and working again. 
 

Just wondered how/why this happened and how often it’s likely to occur.

Quite possibly a non-Sonos network issue, such as a DNS failure. It ought to be an infrequent occurrence. Simply powercycling the device often fixes this kind of thing.

Despite decades of technological advancement, “turn it off and turn it on again” continues to be a sensible first step in any troubleshooting.
