The new Amazon Echo Plus has a built in ZigBee controller, so it can cut out needing to purchase "hubs" or "bridges" when pairing with smart home devices. Consider Phillips Hue - the smart home lighting used to require a bridge to pair with Alexa, however now if you have the Echo Plus (which has a ZigBee controller) you don't. With that said, does the Sonos Beam have the ZigBee controller built in?

Hi bwfoster6, no. We don't make any Sonos players with a ZigBee controller built in. I'll pass along the word that you're looking for it though.
You can use a Sonos One or Beam to control smart home devices, but if they require a hub, you'd need to get one separately.
