I have a persistent issue with getting Alexa to play music from Spotify. Frequently, I will ask it to play music, and it will announce, “Now playing XYZ” and then there will be silence. This exact same thing kept happening on the Alexa devices themselves (dot, spot, etc), but it can be fixed by unplugging them and plugging them back in. For the Sonos devices, I cannot figure out a method of resetting it in the same way. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Spotify skill doesn’t appear to work, neither does turning the device off and back on again. Any ideas?

Please disable and re-enable the Sonos skill within the Alexa app.
I'm having this same issue. I disable and re-enable the skill but it still doesn't work.
