Alexa not discovering speakers

I have a new Playbase, along with an Echo Dot. The Echo Dot has been working fine controlling everything in the house. However when I try to add the Sonos speaker through Alexa it does not discover it...keeps saying "No new devices found." I go through Devices > Add a Device > Speaker > Sonos. The Sonos is connected and runs through TV as well as through the Sonos app. Just can't seem to get Alexa to "discover" it. What am I doing wrong?!

I'm seeing something similar (https://en.community.sonos.com/amazon-alexa-and-sonos-229102/starting-yesterday-alexa-cannot-discover-any-sonos-devices-as-speakers-but-sonos-devices-accept-voice-input-6819621). Given the exhaustive list of remedies I've tried, I'm starting to wonder if the problem is even on our end.
