I have 2 internet providers coming into my house - SKY and AIRBAND. Most of my Sonos components are wired via Ethernet to the Airband router. The WiFi on both routers are on.

The IOS controller shows all components whether I am connected to the Sky or Airband WiFi but the list of services won’t load and I can’t control the music/volume.

In the app the Sky WiFi is shown under manage my network - if I try and delete it it reappears after a few seconds.

Any advise on how to set this up correctly? I would like Sonos wired for reliability but if I turned off Airband WiFi could I use Sky WiFi to control the system if it’s wired into the Airband router? Most of the units are close together except for a couple.

As soon as you connect any Sonos device to an ethernet cable, then all of your devices create a Sonos mesh network and no longer use wi-fi, with the exception of Era, Move, and Roam devices.

Which router has DHCP enabled?  Have you set a different SSID and/or password for each Wi-Fi? do you have a switch linking the two networks?

Not sure about DHCP - I haven’t not made any changes in those settings.  Yes both WiFi’s networks have different names and passwords.

can I connect to either WiFi network to use the IOs Sonos controller?

I doubt it.  If both routers have DHCP enabled and there is no linking between the two, then regardless of the fact that they are located within the same building, they are separate networks.  What is driving your requirement for two ISP’s?

Slow speed - I’m only getting 20Mbs on each. I could keep one wired only and one wifi only. But I need to use the iOS controller?

Is it possible for your iOS controller (I assume your iPhone?) to only ever be connected to the same network as your Sonos devices are connected to via ethernet cable?  If ‘Yes’ forget the other network on your iPhone.  Wi-Fi doesn’t enter the equation for your Sonos devices (Only your iPhone) due to the fact that you have Sonos Net in force.

You may also want to consider reserving IP addresses within your (Sonos) router for all of your Sonos devices, as per my article:

Thanks yes I will try that. When you reboot in the order advised in your article do you stat by turning everything off and then turn on in the order given?

I have 2 Play Ones quite a distance from other Sonos units that are not Ethernet connected (but are working) -  will they still be connnected by SonosNet or might they be using WiFi?

Yes please.

Yes, they will all use Sonos Net if possible, as soon as you connect any device via ethernet cable.

Also, why you’re undertaking these changes, it would also be worth to change the Wi-Fi in the Sonos App to the credentials of the Sonos Router.  This will cover the scenario of a non wired device swapping to WIFI if the Sonos Net mesh network ever drops.

Thanks yes I have done that
