The new Sonos app is a catastrophe. How can they release something that eliminates prior functionality. It doesn’t allow saving of music, and I’ve completely lost my playlists. It also takes forever for it to start playing item (an error message repeatedly pops up)I called customer support last night. It took over an hour to,speak,with someone who sai there was nothing she could do. How can a company be so irresponsible with its products. I’ve spent a huge amount of money on the speakers that have been rendered useless

New app & music library - several questions

Well, what a disaster. Here is another long-time Sonos user utterly baffled as to why this app upgrade was released. I would appreciate answers to a few simple questions.I have a large (approx 2000) library of CDs held on a usb drive, connected to my router.The new app finds the library, but there is no album art. Why?If I search for an artist, it brings back options for Spotify, Mixcloud, etc etc, but not my CD library. Why?My playlists (some of which have hundreds of tracks) appear in the Sonos favourites section, but if I click on them, there is no track listing. Why? Once they are playing, I can click on a button which shows the track listing, but how do I edit the playlist?If I go into my library and drill down to a song, the option to add it to a playlist has gone. How do I do it? In fact, how do I create a new playlist???!!!How do I tell Sonos to re-index the library when I add another CD? In the old app I set it to re-index every morning at 3am. Is that still happening?All of t

New app doesn’t have all the functions working and has removed many much loved features. Give us the old app until you have the new one fixed and customer tested.

Has anyone managed to find the settings for alarms in the new (May 2024) app update??I hate the new app as I think functionality is backside first!I’m in the lounge so I want to see the speakers first the what I want to play. The new app hides speakers behind content.

How to Roll Back from 80 to 16.1

Please provide a way to go back to the old version ASAP. I use Sonos almost exclusively for my local library as it seems many people do and you have again (think bricking...) completely misunderstood your owners and people that have supported and invested in your products for decades. Congratulations on creating another media disaster for the company. I am sure the new app is trending on all platforms with angry users and people looking for alternate products. PLEASE LET US GO BACK to the old version until you sort this out.

setup issue

I don’t like the new app!! Every time I start playing anything it wants to automatically play in a location I don’t want it to play. I have unselected it numerous times but it always comes back to that same place every time!and it is one that I have never used.how to fix this???thanks

2nd hand Beam Gen2 can not get registered

Hey fellow Sonos fans!Got myself a 2nd gen Beam from someone on the web, was factory reset, connected it when home and started the process to add to my home system and it goes as far as adding it to a room but saying that it can't be used until it gets registered - which it continuously fails to do.Tried wifi, ethernet, no difference - actually no, there is a difference, when trying with ethernet, the chime with pin is not audible; when trying on wifi, it is but doesn't work. go figure - any help is appreciated as I'd hate to learn i got an expensive paper weight :(if this helps:Sonos OS: S2Version: 16.1.1 (build 78152020)Hardware Version: 1.35.1.6-2.1Series ID: A200Best,

Roam not registering after facory reset

I did a factory reset on my roam as the new app didn’t find it.After the reset when I try to connect it to my system it is on my product list but it says not registered so I can only use in Bluetooth mode at the minute.i have tried rebooting phone and router but still no joy. I have also tried rebooting the roam holding the power button for 15 secs

New SONOS iOS app (May 2024) is TOTAL RUBBISH!!

The New Sonos iOS app is absolutely terrible. If you haven’t upgraded yet please please don’t. There are so many missing features and bugs to boot. It looks like an pre-Alpha version of software rushed to market without being properly tested or checked.PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Sonos bring back the S2 app for download on the App Store. If I could downgrade I would do it in a heartbeat. I’m a long time user and fan of Sonos products but frankly this is a big miss a disaster. This new app is almost unusable. This is Sonos’s Windows Vista moment. Please listen to your users Sonos, negative feedback is everywhere now. Please give us back the S2 app whilst this one goes back to the drawing board or perhaps the trash can.

PSA: DO NOT UPDATE TO THE NEW APP YET (list of issues included)

Please if u have some issues u don’t see in my post, add them with bulletins, so there is a comperehensive lists for other users or the SONOS itself. Device: iPhone 14 Pro Max - iOS 17.4.11.) If u’re trying to TruePlay ERA’s 300 in the NEW APP (80.00.04), and microphones are disabled on the ERA’s themselves, then the TruePlay process fails.This is due to disabled microphones. If i tried it in the OLD APP (16.1), there was a step/prompt that warned me exactly about the microphones e.g. that they need to be enabled, so the TruePlay could run successfully. This prompt is missing in the NEW APP (80.00.04). So if u’re having TruePlay issues, try to enable microphones.2.) If u’re having issues with TruePlay not starting after tapping/hitting “Continue” button in the NEW APP (80.00.04), reboot your phone and it should work.3.) If u’re experiencing some other issues in the NEW APP (80.00.04), they might be mitigated by going to “Account” / “App Preferences” / “Reset App” which will logout you

Hi EveryoneWe moderators of the community - @Corry P, @Jamie A & @Sotiris C. - wanted to take an opportunity to explain some of what is currently happening on the community.First of all, we value all the feedback you are providing about the new Sonos App. We hear you. Feedback is coming in fast and thick, however - for understandable reasons - and to be frank, we are having trouble just keeping up with it all. For this reason, some topics that have not yet been replied to will go unanswered. We will, however, do our best to amalgamate some of these separate threads into bigger, related threads (such as one big thread for Alarm complaints and another for Queue Management) to be answered en-mass. In the new 2024 Sonos App :Where are the alarms settings? Where is the Last.fm service?Where is the Android widget?This is a real nightmare. I hope Sonos will fix all that asap because what they did releasing this not finished app is scandalous.
