Hello, I'm pretty new to Sonos and just bought a Soundbar (got a good deal on one!). The devices I would like to use with the soundbar are a new Samsung 55" LED TV and a turntable that plugs into a mixer.
Would this receiver work with this setup or something similar?

Or are there other solutions that would work with these devices (TV and Turntable)?
And are there any disadvantages to using a receiver with these devices and Sonos Soundbar (latency or anything else?)
Thanks!!

Does your turntable mixer have a pre-amp in it to run the turntable at line level.
I'm not sure what the Denon AVR is going to do for you really in this circumstance.
What model Samsung TV is it - does it have composite inputs (RCA) which would give you audio input into the TV from the line level coming from mixer (if it does have a pre-amp).

Chris, I believe my mixer does have a pre-amp built into it.
I was just thinking I could plug my TV and my turntable into the AVR and i could switch between those 2 devices.
Here is the TV I have:

I'm not sure I like the idea of having my turntable plugged into my TV

Looks like that TV has a Yellow input labeled AV In. So theoretically you could use a composite AV cord (yellow/red/white RCA's one end) and hook the white/red to the output of your mixer.
That would feed the turntable audio into your TV - which in turn I assume TV will output via its optical output to the Sonos Playbar.
So you would switch to that input on the TV to listen to your turntable (using this as example as with playbar the TV is supposed to be the sound switching hub).

If you didn't want to play the Turntable via the TV.
#1 - you could get a Sonos Connect to hook the turntable/mixer to - thus making it a part of Sonos system
#2 - you could convert the turntable RCA audio from Mixer audio to optical output like the tv

#3 - get a Sonos Play:5 - this will give you an analog input to hook the RCA/Mixer to and also give you the advantage of another Sonos speaker that can play from the turntable in addition to the Playbar.
Personally - I would get a Play:5. Great speaker and allows you to input your turntable and play on any Sonos speaker in your house including the Playbar.
