Question

sonos 5 line in reverses left and right channels

Forum|alt.badge.img

I have a project turntable connected to the Five via rca to 1/8 jack , as is correct re the instructions. The left and right channels are reversed in the 5 and also in the paired S1’s I have in another room. Sometimes the right channel doesn't work at all in the 5 even though it's fine in the ones. The sound is not good via turntable no matter how I configured the EQs , it's diving me mad.

Check that the RCA cable coming from the turntable aren’t reversed or somewhere else in the connections

I changed them over and the right channel was still weaker and controlled by the left EQ slider. It's not the cable either because I bought and installed a new one

Are you using any type of device between the turntable and the Five?

I've found some ideas in the forum talking about router channels , I need to understand what that's all about but am thinking it's the right direction - the WiFi has been playing up

My suggestion is to:

Unplug all Sonos.

Reboot your router and let it come back

Plug in your Sonos 1 x1 and let each come back before moving to the next

Delete the Sonos App

Power cycle your device

Re-install the Sonos app

Try playing your Turntable to see if left/right channels are still crossed

All done be , still reversed. Lowering the latency seems to have improved the sound weirdly, no difference between L&R volume or quality.  It's not a big deal actually , left / right it's not like it matters hugely in my kitchen and not at all through the Five but still very weird.
