Connect Sonos one SL to turntable with bluetooth

Hello,

We just upgraded our turntable to an audio technica bluetooth.  We have 2 Sonos one and 2 sonos one SL.  I understand the Sonos one does not have bluetooth, but can we connect the Sonos one SL to the turntable via Bluetooth? And if so, how? We tried the holding the bluetooth button until the ping sound, then setting the turntable to bluetooth connect, but they will not find each other.  We upgraded to the SL with this last pair because we wanted to go wireless with the turntable.

Thanks

Neither One nor One SL has Bluetooth. https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/use-bluetooth-on-sonos

You appear to have a Play:5/gen1. I suggest you get a separate Bluetooth receiver and wire it to the Play:5’s Line-In.

Thank you. The play 5 unfortunately is not available for the turntable. They are in a different building that’s a yoga studio on the property. The Sonos one SL pair have a button with Bluetooth symbol on the back and lists instructions to connect to Bluetooth (hold down button in back until you hear a noise). We have used Bluetooth on these speakers with a MacBook Pro but can’t get them to connect to the turntable. Any other thoughts?

Sorry, but the One SL definitely doesn’t support Bluetooth. The only button on the back is the Join button, to connect to your Sonos system during setup.

Are you sure you don’t have Era100s, which are the successor model and do support Bluetooth? They ought to be able to pair with your turntable. However there is a known issue at the moment:

DONT READ IF YOU LIKE SONOS.  JUST A B…. SESSION So my 4 sonos 1 speakers that were all purchased in the past year won’t play a record on a new turntable. I was encouraged to replace my “older” model speakers because of all the issues using the app. For years, app updates would shut down my system and leave me calling them to reset something or other. The update from Sonos S1 app to the “gold” sonos app was a pain in the butt with all the old equipment no longer working correctly. And I had to go from 1 app to the other as I had speakers on both.   So I listened to them and updated last year.  Still have to use both apps and cannot play a record without buying another newer sonos speaker. I regret sticking with them. I have had their system for my business since 2013, including a bridge, 2 Play 5s and 2 other original sonos 1 speakers.

Thanks for your input though.
