Autoplay not working with Pro-Ject Automat A1

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

I have just upgraded from a Audio Technica turntable to a Pro-Ject Automat A1 which has a line in to a pair of grouped 5’s.

The new turntable, like the previous, has a built in Pre Amp, but while the previous turntable worked flawlessly as soon as the needle dropped BUT with the Pro-Ject I need to pull out the line in cord and reinsert it every time to get the music to play.

My App is configured properly, Autoplay etc.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

You could try to set a higher level for input sensitivity in the line in settings. For phono I would recommend something between 2 and 4. But in the end it depends on the signal level coming in from the phono.

I’m wondering if there’s any adjustment to the output signal on the new turntable that could be made? As a guess, it’s too low of a signal to be triggering the autoplay function.

Although a reboot of the PLAY:5 or Five wouldn’t be a terrible thing, either. There is no 5 speaker in Sonos’ lineup.
