Hi,

Maybe some one have the experience already. I will connect my old turntable to the SONOS Network I have allready.

PORT, BEAM, SUB, 2x Play

Clear is that I need to have at least a  preamplivier connected to PORT as my turntable do not have this included.

Now my question.

Will there be signifikant differences in audio quality outcome from the speakers, if I use a good amplivier, whatever brand it will be, in 400-600 Euro price range or a simple 50 Euro preamp HAMA PA-506 ?

Thankx  Thomas

What turntable and cartridge do you have?

For phono preamps I have used with Sonos, Rolls VP29 is a good basic unit and Schiit Mani is a good next step. Depending on your turntable and cartridge, a better phono preamp can improve sound quality, but at some point the limiting factor is Sonos analog line in ports digitize all signal to 16b 44.1k prior to playback.
