I have a sonos amp connected to ceiling speakers in my kitchen. The amp is in a cupboard and the speakers are hard wired back to the cupboard.

My wife has bought me a Pro-Ject T1 Phono SB Turntable and I am wondering how I can get it to play through my ceiling  speakers. I am really hoping there is a way to connect it all up wirelessly.

You would have to run rca cables from the turntable to the line input on the Sonos amp, then select the line input on your Sonos app.

The amp and the turntable are on opposite sides of the room with no easy way of getting a cable between them.

Is there a speaker i could buy to hard wire into the turntable that would then link to my amp and ceiling speakers wirelessly? I have no idea how all this sonos stuff works so am looking for any help.

Yes, the Five has a 3.5mm stereo input that you can use an RCA to 3.5mm cable with. Then, in the Sonos app you would select the line input on the Sonos 5 instead of the amp.

Thanks. Will I will be able to gwt the sound through the five and the ceiling speakers together?

A slightly cheaper alternative is an era 100 with a line in adapter.  3.5mm jack goes into the adapter and then you can select line in on the era and group it with the rest of your system. Era 100 also allows bluetooth connection to the turntable if it offers Bluetooth.

Steadster is correct! The Era 100 is a less expensive option! The Era 300 is another speaker w a line-in that you could use as well..but any of the speakers will sync with the audio to your ceiling speakers, though there are settings you can mess with if the audio is not in sync.
