looking for compatible speaker for SONY PS-LX310BT

We have a Sonos Roam and have successfully connected it to our Sony turntable. We wanted a better speaker so we got a Move 2. It will pair with the turntable but it wont play sound. The Sony needs A2DP compatible BT speakers to work. I can’t find any info that says which of the higher quality Sonos speakers are A2DP compatible. Thank you!

Hi @Leg6295

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

All Sonos devices that support Bluetooth support A2DP, so whatever the problem is, it doesn’t seem like it’s that. I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports - especially if the Roam connects and plays without issue and the Move 2 does not (please mention this when you get in touch).

I hope this helps.

I have the same model Sony turntable and have the same problem. It pairs with the Move 2 but plays no audio. I have no problems playing Bluetooth audio with the Roam or Move.

Hi, I have the exact same problem, how can I resolve this?  The Sony turntable connects to the Sonos Move 2 via Bluetooth but does not play the sound.  Thanks a lot!

I would certainly report the issue to Sonos Support. Meanwhile, perhaps use the line-in connection instead (requires a dongle) See below links:

We had to use the wired/line connection with dongle  to make it work. Frustrating for sure. But we can connect to our Roam Sonos speaker for outside listening or other parts of the house

Thanks!  Which cables did you buy to make the conversion from RCA Stereo to USB C?  Thanks so much for your help!

You will need one of the Sonos audio adapters for use with the Move 2, then simply use RCA to 3.5mm. See links for choice of dongle:

Hello all,

I just got the sony ps-lx310bt / Sonos move 2 for Christmas and successfully connected the record player to the Sonos move 2, but just like the rest of y’all it won’t play any music through the speaker. I’m curious if any of y’all did the update (on the speaker)? I did and I was reading on the Sonos move (1st gen) that folks weren’t able to hear anything through their speaker anymore once they did the update. I’m looking into getting an adapter but bummed that now my move won’t be moving if I’m listening to any records.

I’d call Sonos and try to score a discount on the adapter since your Bluetooth connection isn’t working. You might get lucky, might not but it is worth a try.
