Sonos ad playing on non-commercial iHeart radio station alarm

I have my alarm set to play a non-commercial, non-Sonos iHeart radio station (Classical KING FM Seattle 89.7), and it was working perfectly until recently. Now, instead of waking up to music, I’m forced to listen to a Sonos ad for the first minute before my station starts. This is completely unacceptable.

I don’t want to start my day with a jarring Sonos commercial, especially since I’ve already purchased your speaker system. Isn’t that enough? Now you’re trying to push even more products or subscriptions on me through my alarm?

Can’t a simple alarm function without corporate nonsense getting in the way? If this is the new norm, I’ll go back to an old-school radio and alarm clock instead.

iHeart and the “free” station somehow need to pay their bills for the streaming. It’s not likely that SONOS is inserting the ads.

Try it on the Mytuner radio service on Sonos, might not get a commercial with this service
