Has there been any traction with a party mode or jukebox function within the app?
What is “party mode” or “jukebox function”?
Isnt it the case that anyone on your network with the Sonos app can control your system? Or AirPlay to it…
Beyond the ‘randomize a playlist’ mode that already exists, I’m not aware of any. Not sure how easy it would be to implement it, either, seems like the idea would be low on the priority list, if it exists at all, right now. They seem to have a lot left that needs to be ‘fixed’ to get back to parity with the old app. Ike assume anything beyond that, such as your ‘party mode’, would be after that.

Hi nik9669a,
it would be nice if we could say open the app on an IPad and have the ability for people to select a song that is added to the queue with out the ability to play now and override the current song, and if no song has been selected the queue could pick from a pre selected playlist. Volume control locked etc. just like an old style jukebox that you use to select songs on in a pub etc. I only ask as it was mentioned many years ago.
