I contacted Sonos support unfortunately after 2 hours they were still unable to help me troubleshoot the issue. I have changed to a WiFi 7 network and since then I haven’t been able to play music via Airplay through my move and beam. I however can play music via the Sonos App through my move and beam.

Based upon what you posted the issue is not with Sonos. Also as a point of correction you should have said..,”I can’t play music TO my Move or Beam via AirPlay. AirPlay is an Apple feature. Therefore the conflict is with AirPlay and your network.

I suggest you contact Apple support.

Since AirPlay 2 isn’t really a Sonos piece of software, I’m less familiar with it (although I do occasionally use it).

I would  be tempted to reboot the Beam, and make sure the Beam and the AirPlay 2 device are connected to the same subnet (some mesh systems present trouble, but you haven’t suggested what your new WiFi is).

I’d also likely call Sonos Support directly to discuss it. They’d have much more access to data that we don’t, if you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem.

Two thing to try and/or verify:

  • Make sure the Airplay2 sending device has the latest software
  • Make sure you check the Sonos app for hardware/software updates

Oh, great points, @AjTrek1 . Also, don’t use a beta OS on your Apple device. Sonos (and many other companies) don’t have time to change all the tests being done in a beta releases of the OS’s.

Thanks both for your advice, both AirPlay and Sonos have updated to the latest software. I’ll try calling local Sonos support
