I got a new router/modem & having problems getting new network on my Sonos play 1. What app controls play 1? I have newer Sonos products in my permanent home, but want ti continue to use Sonos play 1 in my vacation home.

it worked fine until I changed router. Now play 1 not showing up as a device…

Sonos S1 or Sonos S2 controls the PLAY:1, depending on which version it was running before (and you can upgrade from S1 to S2 if you want, my PLAY:1s are all running S2).

However, in order to get the PLAY:1 connected to your network, you’d need to wire it directly to your router first, and use the correct controller to connect to it. Once you’ve done that, you can change the SSID and password and have it connect directly to the Wifi, so you can remove the ethernet cable.
