SONOS Roam: Light by log is suddenly dead

It sounds like the Roam needs to be charged. Be sure to use a 5V/2A (10W) USB power adapter.

Thanks. Unless a fully charged battery is meant to last less than 2 hrs, Roam was at around 70% charged when it dropped off. I rarely move the speaker off the charger because from the first time I got it, it has been challenging to keep it connected after moving it around for a while… and dealing with the app is no fun at all. What I did after I wrote my note above was to leave it unplugged so it becomes fully drained overnight. I’ll charge it again in the morning and keep it plugged at all times from now on (if it ever reconnects, that is). This issue appeared at the right time as I was “inches away” from getting another roam. That has become a hard “no” tonight. Again, thanks for your suggestion. 

Anyone ever get any solutions to fixing the brick?

Obviously I can't buy another one, unless this thing will function.  My 1st Sonos isn't exactly giving me a warm and fuzzy…

Back to Bose!?...

There is a power management reset that may help. First make sure that the battery has some charge. Remove the charger, then press and hold the power button for 15 seconds. If the unit is operational at this point, attach the charger and continue to full charge. You can play music while charging.

Note that this is not a Factory Reset.

Hello. The issue maybe wider than just the Roam speaker. After charging it overnight once, the speaker was still not found and the LED by the logo would not light up. I, again, allowed it to drain one more night and recharged it after that. Only then, the speaker decided to “wake up” and appeared as working. Great. Then, using Mac’s app, I wanted to play some music. Apple Music: “Song ‘xyz’ cannot play because lost contact with Apple Music”. That was the message with any song from Apple Music. Let’s try Amazon Music: “The song or playlist ‘xyz’ cannot play because it has the wrong encoding”. ??! Moving to the iPhone app. Guess what? My other speaker (Sonos One) has now dropped off the network. For the record, Apple Music and Amazon music are working just fine. My network is otherwise working fine, and I have not messed with the network settings in any way in months. These events occurred “out of the blue” and suddenly. And I’ll repeat this: The iOS app is “ok” when things work but shall any problem like this come up, the thing is close to a nightmare to use, not helpful unless one is willing to spend precious time reading manuals OR posting questions here… that plus that I end up writing too bloody much makes things worse. Thanks all the same.

SONOS requires more robust network support than a phone/pad playing a music service.  The default setting of some routers does not fully support SONOS. Describe your network setup for us. You can also work with SONOS phone support.
