Playbar distorting with Bass

My Sonos Playbaris 10 years old.  When I watch a movie with low Bass sounds or music streaming with a lot of Bass it has started distorting the last few months.  I have restarted, retuned, reset to factory.

This happens at any volume and not just when it is up high.

The device has been mounted in the same spot all this time.  Could it be damaged hardware, and if so can it be repaired?

It’s possible, of course. Unfortunately, Sonos doesn’t offer a repair service, although there appear to be unauthorized repair places in the U.K. and maybe EU, you could do a search for them on the internet. Of course, once a device has been opened, it is no longer eligible for a trade in, so you’ll need to evaluate that as well. You could always call Sonos Support directly to discuss it, before doing anything else, to see if it needs to be repaired or replaced, or is a solvable issue.

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

You should be able to click on the link in my post, and if your browser is set to the Australian Sonos site, you’ll get the appropriate information.

In case you have an issue, here is a direct link.
