hdmi arc lg beam

Hi - I just bout a Sonos beam gen 2 but I’m having issues in connecting it with my LG50QNED tv. Basically, when I start the tv set up in the Sonos app and insert the HDMI cable in the HDMI arc port both the Sonos and the tv don’t recognise that the cable is inserted. I’ve tried factory reset, unplug and plug, etc. Is this a common issue?

Did you check like @buzz suggested if tvs  cec communication (SimpLink) is turned on?

If so, did you try another hdmi cable?

Not common. Make sure that the HDMI plugs are fully inserted. A defective HDMI cable is also possible.

I’m not familiar with this model TV. Make sure that SimpleLink is enabled. I expect that this would be enabled by default, but it is worth checking.

It turns out that the issue is with the Sonos-provided cable! It worked perfectly with another cable I already had at home. I’ll reach out to Sonos technical assistance for a replacement cable.

thanks all!
