Feature request. I would have thought this would already be possible but can we have a feature where we can use two era 300s as a stereo pair when bonded as surrounds. Would be great if I could use them as surrounds when needed but then quickly switch them to a stereo pair if I wanted to use them for music play back by themselves. Would give users a bigger use case scenario and for the cost more versatile.

Been asked for years, over a decade in fact.  However, the reconfiguration of the radios and handshaking involved when switching from stereo to surrounds eliminates the possibility of doing this quickly.

Ahh what a shame even if it took 5 mins wouldn’t be so bad. Come on Sonos gives us this some how would be a great feature.

If you don’t mind the longer time, just remove the surrounds and stereo pair them.  Not much more effort than a toggle.

Hi @Mitchellsx

Thank you - I've marked this thread as a feature request and it will be seen by the relevant teams for consideration. Keep the ideas coming!

As @jgatie mentions, however, it has been asked for before - it may not be technically viable.
