Samsung TV keeps disconnecting from Arc

Hello,
Samsung TV and Arc are not connecting.  My previous TV was a Vizio.  As well as the Vizio, the connection issue occurred.  The audio would come back as soon as I unplugged the HDMI and/or Arc.  The Samsung does not have that problem. There is no longer an option for Home receiver Audio output on the TV.
Additionally, I use a Nvidia Shield to view my content.
Is this a problem with the cable, TV, or Arc?
The HDMI has been replaced, but the problem persists.

Try this:

Disconnect everything from the TV including the Arc. Unplug the TV and Arc from power for a couple of minutes. Plug them both back in but keep them disconnected. Make sure Anynet+ is enabled in the TV settings. Run TV Setup under the Arc’s settings in the Sonos app. When the app instructs you to, connect the Arc to the TV’s HDMI ARC port using the Sonos-supplied HDMI cable. After the Arc has been successfully connected, connect the Nvidia Shield to the TV.
