Is Sonos abandoning Sonos Playlists?

I’m wondering if Sonos has decided to abandon the ability to create Sonos Playlists.  The new app update added the Clear Queue function, but Edit & Save are still M.I.A.   Makes me think that’s the end of Sonos Playlists.

Originally was due in August. Now they say Sept- Oct. So who really knows

I was going to change how I do playlists to outside the Sonos app so that I don’t get caught out  by Sonos in the future. But I saw a recommendation for Phonos Plus and can use that to export my playlists off the system.

Can you explain what you mean by ‘export my playlists off the system’? Is there some other way to preserve Sonos playlists that pre-existed the May 7 change, or even to save a currently existing queue? Can that stuff be saved without relying on the Sonos app to do it?

Don’t know if you can save a queue with and 3rd party apps, but I have successfully saved my pre crap app Sonos Playlists using SonoSaver on my Windows PC.  Works with new app.

SonoSaver archives the Sonos Playlists on to the PC then they can be Restored back to the Sonos System should they be lost somehow.

All this stuff is getting way too tough for me! At  74 years old going from 45 rpm to 8 track etc. etc. MP3 download to a computer on and on. It all just seems to me that the easiest thing, which is even difficult is to get one music service, pay for it, and listen to what you want. I get the variety of the music I like, every so often a new artist I like. Sure it is nice to listen to the old music from my prior years that I have accumulated and cannot listen to because of technology moving on too fast but I can find it online if I can remember the name. So to net it out, having the ability to save and create a playlist is great but who today just sits and listens to music? I am on the phone, doing something in addition to listening to music, talking, etc.

In Phonos Plus export the playlist to XML and then import that to Soundiiz and move it to your music service of choice. Or if you are using self hosted/local music player import there.
