News Media starting to spread the word about the new app upgrade FAILURE!

May 17th article in the Washington Post: Tech in Your Life: Why this company’s biggest fans turned against it.

A decent read. The CEO wants us to be patient.

🤣

News media started spreading the word pretty much immediately after the new app was released on May 7.

Unfortunately, these articles make it sound like only petty issues came up with the upgrade…they do not reflect that most of the complaints are that the entire system no longer works, and they do not have the customer support to even begin to address the issues. Thanks for posting!

But they will encourage people to do some research and that should lead them here.

Yes, most likely preemptive stories initiated by their crisis management and PR teams to mitigate the seriousness of the issue. I would call the fact that “I could only use my system, if I upgraded to an app that has effectively killed my system” more than just a “BUG”. Am I right?

Here’s the latest from Wirecutter/NYT

Thanks, Patrick. I thought it was my WiFi that was the problem but maybe I should reboot myself instead.

I somehow got onto this page just now

https://www.sonos.com/en-gb/home

Seeing as how they are still quoting the old endorsement from Wirecutter right up front, clearly neither Patrick nor his media people have seen Wirecutter 's U-turn.

I wonder what's keeping them so busy? 🤔
