Sonos Onkyo

I just bought the Onkyo nr-tx696 because of its work with sonos integration. I set it all up and it turns on and I can adjust volume using Sonos. The problem I am having is that I cant get it to go into standby after I stop playing music. I have tried multiple settings and my understanding is that the receiver is supposed to recognize after 20 mins of no signal and go into standby, however its not doing it. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have the same issue with an Onkyo TX-NR6050.  I also have the Onkyo “Auto Standby” feature set to ON.

A Sonos request: Please add an “Auto Standby (after X minutes of no signal)” feature to “Works With Sonos” that puts the connected receiver back into Standby. As Sonos wakes the receiver up, shouldn’t Sonos put it back in Standby?

My understanding is the 12v trigger on the Port turns off after two minutes of no audio activity - can’t the “Works With Sonos” software interface parallel this behavior?
