Port Powering on Receiver

Until recently, I used CONNECT:AMP to listen to music on my speakers connected to my receiver. I liked that the receiver would POWER ON whenever I selected music to play either through the Sonos app or the Amazon app. I had to update to PORT. Now the receiver doesn’t respond to the apps. I manually turn it on to hear the music through the speakers. Is there a way to remedy this?

What receiver do you have?   Was it a Onkyo or Pioneer that is certified to ‘work with Sonos’?  If not, then I suspect that the input on your receiver was autosensing.  In which case, make sure that the Port is connect to the same input that your Connect used to be connected to.
