We bought our 1st Sonos product, the ARC Ultra and wondered if it is OK to not wall mount.

Mine is happy sitting on the TV stand.

The wall mount bracket is an extra cost option that most don't need.

I wall mounted my TV but my Sonos ARC Ultra sits below it on my entertainment cabinet. I did not see a need to wall mount the speaker. I did run all wires and cable behind the wall for a nice clean look.

I’ve done this with PLAYBAR. In a different room ARC and ARC ULTRA have been on a stand under the wall mounted TV. I prefer the results with the soundbar out of the inlay.

106rallye, consider pulling ARC closer to the edge and see if you like the results better.

There used to be a guy selling Arc stands on Amazon, lifted it up a couple inches. I think it helped the sound a bit but the big plus for me was a stable mounting point that cleared the large base of my TV stand.
