Playbar compatibility with Sub Gen 3

I have a Playbar and wish to add a Sub and some One’s for surround sound.

I have been told by a sales guy that the new Gen 3 sub won’t work with the Playbar, so I will need to try and find a Gen 2 Sub (difficult) or purchase an Arc.

I would be grateful if someone could confirm this is the case.

I can confirm that what the sales person told you is completely wrong.  The Playbar and gen 3 Sub will play happily together on an S2 system.  (Playbar can work on S1 or S2, gen 3 Sub requires S2.)
