Using SONOS after Cord cutting

Forum|alt.badge.img+4

I cut my DirectTV cable a few months ago and have been streaming Video. I have my TV’s connected to SONOS Soundbars along with surounds everthing works great. In the past it has been shut off the TV turn on dinner music. Tonight rather than listen to my playlists I selected Pandora, Amazon is there too. Sorry this is on my Apple TV. It is easy to just select pick what you want and also sounds great.

However it only plays on the SONOS products connected to the TV. Most of the searches for how to play SONOS on your TV deal with connecting your speakers to the TV directly or ith AirPlay.

I want to see the SONOS App on my APPLE TV scren. I can then select where and what music to plqy via my Hardware Apple TV. I can do it with my phone or laptop.

i know that SONOS and Apple had a deal together awhile ago and I am aware of Apple Music which I do not subscribe to.  Just asking if and how to do this? Also I saw Orto for SONOS that claims to do this but have no further informatin on it. Thanks Dave

If I am understanding this correctly, the disconnect is the fact that you still need to use the Sonos app to group the other rooms once to begin playing audio from the TV with the Apple TV source. For now, there is no other way to do it.

If Sonos does release the set top box, this may be one of the features… fingers crossed..

As of yet, after years and years of requests, there is no Apple TV app for Sonos.

Thanks. At least I know that “At this time there is no solution” Guess it was just too nice to have the interface to SONOS through my big beautiful TV screen rather than go to my always availabel tiny screened iPhone. If SONOS comes up with a Settop Box I hope it plays well with Apple TV. I like the Apple TV interface, tried ROKU but that seemed to difficult.
