Will UK purchased Play3's work in the US?

I am potentially moving to the USA in the next few months and want to take my play3's with me (I have three) I just have the units and no connecting AMPS. Will I be able to use the Play 3's over there by using an adaptor or will I need to buy new main's leads or will the change in wattage mean new units! Keen to avoid the last one if possible. Just not sure if they are made universally and then just different country adapters supplied? All advice gratefully received.

No Windows App

It looks as though Sonos will NOT be developing an App for the Windows Phone - which is very disappointing. As they know, Windows is by far the most popular OS on desktops and laptops and I choose to use the Windows phones because of the tight integration with the desktop and laptop and the unique ability to share people directories and calendars which can be read/updated from any Windows device. I'll probably have to abandon my plans to use Sonos in every room... unless someone has first hand knowledge and recommendation for a reliable 3rd Party Phone App that is compatible with Sonos speakers? Does anyone use one?.

Sonos & Amazon Echo

Anyone in the UK purchased an Amazon Echo and have it controlling your Sonos system or is this functionality not yet available? Also, does anyone know how the Amazon Echo will actually integrate with Sonos? Will it have to be hard wired to speakers or work just by the Alexa voice control? Many thanks for your time.

Will a connect make my Sonos 1 speaker play audio from my tv?

I was wondering , I've got a Sonos play 1 speaker ready for downstairs kids play room. I can't justify a play bar for kids room. I was thinking of getting a Sonos connect and running my tv audio through play 1 speaker that way? Would it work or would it not be s recommended thing to do? Look forward to anyone's help! No option to set up new system

Hi everyone, I am trying to set up a new system with the Play1 that I purchased. I have downloaded the Sonos app on an iPhone 4 with operating system 7.1.2 but when I open it only one option shows - "Connect to an existing system." I have tried deleting the app and installing it again, but get the same result. Thinking it might be the phone, I tried downloading the app on my daughter's iPad but again there is only one option showing - to connect to an existing system. Before doing this I had connected the speaker to the power source and it showed the white light then the flashing green light as described by the Sonos support pages. I have searched through the help pages but I've not found any comments on this problem. Your help, please?

Sonos Compatibility with Sharp Aquos LC-75N8000U - HDMI Dolby Pass Through Questions

I am setting up a small media room (10’ x 20’) solely for the purpose of watching movies and television, as we already have a separate audio setup for music for other rooms (a few AirPlay Bowers & Wilkens A7s, and a Nakamichi SoundSpace 8 connected to an Apple Airport Express). I have been considering a Sonos 5.1 setup as we need a 5.1 audio system to pair with our TV, and we do not need any additional music streaming services for this room - simply a decent 5.1 audio system that will work well with our television and streaming devices. My wife would prefer an audio system that could be controlled by our TV or PVR’s IR remote, and can be set to power on/off automatically with the television (Sonos can do this as well). We have purchased a 75” 4K Sharp Aquos LC-75N8000U (https://www.sharptvusa.com/tvs/4k/lc-75n8000u), and connected devices will include: Apple TV 4 64GB for streaming 1080p movies from computer, as well as AirPlay Mirroring from iOS devices. iTunes playlists are not showing in Imported Playlists

Recently none of my iTunes playlists are imported into Sonos. All music tracks have been imported but not the playlists. All music and iTunes data are in My Music folder. Can someone help?

If i need to temporarily unplug a sonos component that is already configured and working, is there a re-start up procedure, or will it reboot itself when it is plugged back in?

WI-FI Bandwidth...

Greetings, I am setting up a whole house SONOS system with two (2) 5.1 setups plus Play 3s in a number of other rooms in a three story house. The only internet service I receive is a lower speed DSL service, but it seems fine for casual internet browsing. I do not intend to pull or stream music from streaming services, but will use my XM radio home dock connected to a CONNECT for music. My question is will my lack of internet bandwidth affect my plan to use SONOS throughout the house? My understanding is internet bandwidth is more important if you are streaming music from streaming services. I intent to use SONOS BOOST to stabilize my SONOS network. SONOS seems a perfect solution to a log home such as this one, difficult, if not impossible to hardwire. Needless to say, setting up a whole house SONOS system is not cheap so I want to make sure or understand how a slower DSL connection might affect the system. Additionally, since I'll be using a SONOS surround sound (5.1) system with

Volume low with connect Amp

My set up is a connect amp, play3 speaker, and a marantz sr5009. I want to keep my current set up (7:1 wired setup) and us the play3 as a wireless patio speaker(So that i can listen to football games). This is where i hit a snag, the volume is very low even on the high setting in the sonos app. I have the connect amp plugged into the audio out of the marantz. Is there anyone out there who has had this same problem, and have a fix for this. i feel like i have tried everything except for going out and buying a preamp. thanks ~1morewave

Configuring Connect and Sonos with an Onkyo Receiver

Hi All, I have just bought an Onkyo TX-NR626 7.2-Channel Network Audio/Video Receiver (Black) @ Amazon.com and I am planning to buy Sonos system to have it all configured in my apartment, but I am not sure If this would be possible. Am I able to have my receiver playing all my devices and sound been handled by Sonos Connect and its different types of wireless speakers? Playbar Volume controll not working with Samsung Model *KS* TV remote

Hi, This new Samsung TV does not have an IR extender, but I have tried anyway to follow this description: https://sonos.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2424/~/configure-sonos-playbar-with-samsung-smart-remotes select Start > Home Theater > Select Samsung as the brand, Choose Optical for the connection type, Run the function test and just say Yes it worked (nothing will have changed), Exit I can do above, I add a Samsung home theater, but I can still not Learn the TV’s volume codes into the PLAYBAR via the Sonos App, it seems the remote does not emitt any IR signals when activating the volume buttons. What to do? I am are able of choosing older samsung home teater's I have tried some, but still no IR emittment from remote....... My TV is a 49KS8005

What do I need to know?

Hello folks, I don't actually have a problem that needs solving at the moments, and I'd like to try to keep it that way. I am more or less by accident about to become a Sonos user and while I think I have a handle on what I'm doing, the more I read, the more I wonder... I recently upgraded my wireless router (to a Fritz!box 7490), and discovered shortly thereafter that my trusty old internet radio no longer worked. The issue is one of supported wifi encryption standards and is unsolvable. So, I've been shopping for a replacement internet radio, and on a whim looked through the catalogue for my credit card's rewards program. They had, and I have ordered (but not yet received) a Play:1 intended to be used as a stand alone device in the family room connected to either a switch or my router both of which are close by. It would be easiest to plug it into a spare 100 meg port on the switch, but would there be any advantage in shuffling things around so I could plug it int

Play 1: amplifier power

The subject of "adding" an external speaker to a Play1 or Play3 has been brought up many times (for outdoor speakers etc). So, if I was to "cannibalize" a Play 1 and add an outdoor speaker, how much power amp output is there in a Play 1? I could use my Sonos Connect amp for this or my Sonos Connect with a 3rd-party amp and speakers.. Lastly, has anyone pried open a Play 1 and looked at the WiFi antenna? Can the guts of a Play 1 be embedded inside another speaker if it doesn't have a steel housing?

Integrating Sonos with an existing built-in Russound distributed sound system

I've read various forum posts about this sort of issue, but remain a bit confused about the possibilities with my unique setup. (I'm coming from a house where I used Sonos in a conventional sense with multiple Play 3s, an AMP, and Bridge). I bought a new house with a built-in distributed sound system by Russound. It consists of a multi-zone amplifier which feeds 6 zones. Each zone has a wall-mounted controller (on/off, volume and source) with in-ceiling speakers. http://goo.gl/uJuPeJ Currently, I have an Airport Express hooked into the "CD input" on the amp and use an iPhone/iPad/Mac as the music source which is controlled with the Apple Remote iphone app. It works okay, although with this setup, different music cannot be played in different zones. So, first question -- is there a way I can use Sonos technology (?CONNECT and CONNECT:AMP) to give me multi-zone control? And second question: If the above is possible, can I enhance some of the existing zones by adding the free-st

Is all the music I stream to my Sonos system going through Sonos' servers?

Is it true that the music I stream to my Sonos system goes through servers at Sonos? And that if Sonos' systems go down I won't be able to get music from online services like Spotify and Pandora ? I have 2 Connects and ever since the latest update whenever i select a song on deezer the entire album is put in my queue. How do i cange this? It is quite irritating.

Can I use Sonos as a keyboard amplifier, for home use?

I have a Yamaha Digital Stage Piano and just sold my PA speakers. I want to know if I can run a line-out from the keyboard into either the Play 5 or a PlayBar line-in to use it as an amp for the home (nothing ridiculously loud). I have had latency issues with past systems (tried doing the same thing through a Bose Solo and there was a small lag between key-strikes and sound coming out of the speaker). Is this possible, or will I experience delays?
