virgin media hub 5 and pods

Hi there,

 

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions please regarding my Sonos setup using the Virgin Hub 5 and there extender pods!  I have a number of devices throughout my home and they keep cutting out and then reconnect with a delay or I have to reset the whole WiFi router and pods for it to work, but it is still very intermittent with play back.  I have contacted Virgin and they feel the WiFi network is poor in my home (I only live in a 3 bedroom terrace) and now have given me 3 pods and still facing the same issues.  Is this a known issue with their equipment and if so, any work around or do I just look at getting a new router?

How is your wifi set up?
Do the pods Auto hop channels? Best to set them to lock on same channel. 

Are you experiencing wifi interference?

Are your 2.4 and 5Ghz channels named the same or different? 
 

There are many reasons why you might be experiencing these issues. Sonos support has many tools to try to resolve issues. Have you spoken to them?
