Trueplay button not available in my room

Hi,

i have a setup with an Sonos amp as front speakers, two ERA100 as rears and a sub mini as subwoofer.

I want to config the sound to fit best for my specific room. If I understand it right it have to use true play to get the nearly best result.

But as soon as I assign the ERAs and the sub to the amp in one room as a surround set the button for true play disappears.

Could you guys give me any advice how to fix this?

Ah - ok.

Is there a good tutorial how to start with the eq settings? Starting with 0 for all (treble and bass for front and sub?) or starting with -x for all or or or. I am just to new to this stuff 🤣

In general I recommend starting with neutral settings. In the end every room and users audio preference is different and imo it’s a personal try and error game you have to play with EQ settings. 😉

Regarding to the sub imho it’s definitely more important to find its perfect spot in your room instead of increasing sub level.
Try different possible places for the sub that are acceptable options for you.

The Trueplay you refer to is only for standalone or stereo-paired Eras, I believe. You’ll need an iPhone to run the full Trueplay utility for the room.

Hi,

thank you. Do you have a hint for me, where I can find the trueplay feature for the room in the iPhone App?

Also extended Trueplay via Apple device is just possible with a Sonos Amp, if it’s connected to a pair of compatible Sonos by sonance in ceiling or in wall speakers.
Regardless of whether they are cust used a main speakers in a stereo setup or in a home theater setup. That’s required in any case.
