Seriously? I have not doubt you're not affiliated with these but really? People are more than capable of searching for the own cases for their Sonos speakers. If it wasn't you the post would be deleted as spam/advertising, I'm sure. That it is you, it shouldn't be treated any differently. It's not a recommendation or review, just a random link.

Note: link is US based Amazon, for our friends in other areas. You could just use Amazon search in your locale. It is made by a company using the name co2CREA.

Be my guest…report it as spam… if that makes your day.

Nice looking case, white or black - that color might travel better. Two designs, one with room for some chargers and a smaller no charger option.

Looks pretty new with no reviews so far but if you follow the store link there you see a lot of 5 star reviews for cases for other brands as well as the 4.7 star Move case.

Edit: I am not affiliated with Amazon or the brand.

I'd never do that. But a post literally advertising and linking to an Amazon product would usually be seen as such.  Read it again.

I post a lot of links to Amazon, Crutchfield and some other brands that have a good reputation and usable information.

I'm not aware of any prohibition on links, other than affiliate ones.

https://en.community.sonos.com/site/terms

Rather than what has happened here a simple report to the moderators would have solved any issue.

If you are posting links to third party products and services then you are violating the terms of use as described in the link you provided. As is the Amazon link in the first post. The Post should be deleted and the spammer dealt with by the mods.

Which provision under that link? I’ve just reread it yet again, I can’t see where these links are prohibited.

Are you considering it breaks this?

  • Please refrain from posting content that would constitute advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of unauthorized solicitation.

The original URL link posted has parameters in, that allow Amazon to track, possibly a specific marketing campaign?

To have a post purely to promote a specific product, especially when people are more than capable of searching for themselves, is weird.

Imagine, for example, if this was a first time poster? Or are they supposed to be treated differently?

Or are they supposed to be treated differently?

Often my posts are held up in the LostSignt moderation system auto-manually, with a single clean URL link back to Sonos support site or Sonos community site.

The moderation system treats every one the same, but with different rules. 😀

Maybe using a clean link would have been better, but I do not think posting about Sonos accessories in the Sonos Community is wrong or, especially when there’s no further endorsement or money being made by the person posting, constitutes advertisement.

As to you “people can search, can’t they” argument - probably at least 20% of this community would not be there if this was true.

This post (which was not my intent) has gone in a completely different direction and needs to be righted. In fact; if one reads the post carefully, you’ll notice a bit of dry-humor. However, humor can be interpreted differently by everyone.

Let’s start by referencing the wording in the Community T&C’s that seems to be the point of discussion as to why the link I posted is in violation:

  • Keep it spam-free. The Sonos Community is provided as a service to Sonos customers and is not intended for the promotion of third party services, products, websites, or organizations. Please refrain from posting content that would constitute advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of unauthorized solicitation. The User agrees not to use any automated system such as scripts for the purpose of following Users, posting comments, and/or sending messages. Posts written by AI or other software used to generate content must be marked as such. AI-generated posts not marked as such will be removed without warning or explanation.

On the surface it might appear that a violation has been committed. In fact, one might go so far as to say it prohibits the mention of a 3rd party product

The wording must be such to have a legal standing. However, it is open to interpretation as to when a violation has been committed.

We have the option to report a post for review if one feels it has violated anything within the Community T&C’s. Therefore, the Community Moderators.

The following products (to name two) have been mentioned numerous times within the community with and without links. The latter product one might say is in direct competition with Sonos, as Pro-Ject turntables are sold on the Sonos website:

  • HD Fury
  • Victrola Stream Turntable

Those products were mentioned because OP’s came to the community looking for a solution and/or an alternative product to better integrate with Sonos.

I’m going to call your attention to the following post wherein suggestions for an alternative accessory were encouraged. You’ll see that I posted pictures of alternative products.

Here’s the post for your review:

Ironically, Sonos sells a similar accessory (see it here). The question is… did the OP violate Sonos Community T&C’s as discussed herein?

This community exists to help others with their questions and share information. Sometimes; as in this case, you’ll find an unsolicited mention of a product that may be of general interest. Taking the approach that …“People are more than capable of searching for the own cases for their Sonos speakers…IMO is limiting and ill-represents the community.

I’ll not drag this out as the Moderators can take over from here when they return on Monday to either close this thread for further comment or delete it.

In the meantime enjoy your Sonos!

It’s the unsolicited part that is the problem. This is different than replying to a poster soliciting help.

It seems to be a problem for you.

BTW...speaking of un-solicited what do cheap new matter remotes have to do with iOS widgets. As the OP didn’t ask for product recommendations yet you took it upon yourself...

Oh, come on. It is not like OP is sending you spam. Just don’t read the post - the title seems clear.

That link, expanded looks like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Bluetooth-Shockproof-Accessory-Compartment/dp/B0GSV7FB7P/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=3BT5HOWGRGWD3&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.riwNuozXgcLgw7F0Zd2ZSDISA2aSCDO5jf_BzWHP831RagPuiL0tsgV7vW3vdxYGarqRB75w3exs9LD26zscEYSZC_iO_NWNYHliV4nRJ1O-mmbMV4Qa2bc90sewZAM7At5RMzUBlK-dKRcUAeBfTHoihdITd0B15YLoLmBQjnjkXeG-0sHI-Q6rsWLfBZX3X8oAv-bZuusN-qqBcAYnXg.lMmJieYdwTFaNh7rW5XUdmhvgwQb1KZieTOQfP4Hl7k&dib_tag=se&keywords=sonos+play+travel+case&qid=1776462392&sprefix=++case+for+sonos+play+%2Caps%2C243&sr=8-4

Most of that is Amazon's internal navigation tracking, so they can see how you got to that page. It is unnecessary, might even be a negative from Amazon's standpoint since it isn't how the forum user actually got there.

A simple trim, find tne first ? and delete it and all that follows and you have a direct, no tracking link. Prettier to look at too.
