Sonos Sub, makes plopping sound on standby

Its been weird, the sonos sub makes plopping “Blop” sounds in standby mode. Sounds like bubbels. What could this issue be.

  • updated firmware
  • nothing is streaming system is in standby mode

Seems like its emptying a capacitor, or someting.

Tried everything problem remains

I FOUND IT!!!!

Sooo after everything I tried I found the solution, its not the Sonos system, its the external devices linked to the (my Samsung) tv, turned them all off and gone is the sound. Its mostly old Phones, mouse, keyboard, etc etc, that I was never using anymore. Turned them off and done, no more gurgeling plopping sounds! Ha!

Took a while, but then here it is, start with this if you have this issue, way easier then firmware updates or fact reinstalling your sonos system!

Enjoy!

Hi @StevenV

You reset the Playbar? Then rebooting it is unlikely to help.
