Hi guys.

I have just purchased my Sonos Move 2.

Im going to set the Trueplay up later when my daughter arrives home, as she has an iPhone whereas I'm Android.

If I choose a room, say sitting room, do the Trueplay calibration and save. I then move to the kitchen, opt for kitchen on the list of rooms, do the Trueplay calibration in the kitchen and save, when I next use it and choose kitchen on the Sonos, will it automatically use the Trueplay settings for that room that were originally saved?

It’s a kind of “quick” Trueplay, done automatically and set according to room acoustics. It’s done using the internal microphone so no iPhone needed.

I don't think the Move 2 has auto Trueplay, it has to be done with the phone.

In the app there's a long list of rooms and I'm guessing you calibrate it for each room.

From Sonos’ website:

”With automatic Trueplay™ tuning, Move 2 uses its microphones to analyze the unique acoustics of its surroundings and continually optimizes the sound. So, no matter where you are or what you play, you get the best listening experience.”

For “full” Trueplay, on rooms/speakers that support it, select Settings (cog wheel at top right in the app), then select a room and scroll down to Trueplay. Then follow the instructions.

I've done that, gone into the cog settings, opened Trueplay and it says not available.

Thats why I believe it requires the iPhone.

Not all iDevices support Trueplay. Here is a list.

Not for your Move 2, no. As I said earlier, Move 2 only supports Auto Trueplay.

Move 2 only has the option available for Automatic Trueplay. This can be enabled/disabled on both Android and iOS devices.

Ensure the mic switch is enabled on the back of Move 2.

What error message are you seeing exactly? A screenshot may help here.

Also, once you enable Automatic Trueplay, it doesn’t matter where you physically place your Move 2, it will tune to its new environment. The list of room names in the app is only to give speakers an identity.
