I already have a SONOS Beam sound bar in my living room, and I want to add a SONOS Era 100 to it because the living room is connected to a open style kitchen. So, I want to know if is it possible to disable the bluetooth of the Era 100 and only connect to it thru the SONOS App, WiFi and Air Play 2. Does anybody know if it is possible?
Thanks in advance, sorry if my English is not the best.

There is no requirement to set up Bluetooth, but the Sonos is only a receiver, you’d need to ‘set it up’ on the sending device, not the Sonos.
As long as you set up the Era 100 on WiFi as normal, and merely ‘group’ it, rather than setting up a pair as surround speakers, you should be able to use all methods of connecting.

Hello Bruce, thank you for your feedback and for the translation!
Just a little question, if I set up the Era 100 on WiFi and as a part of my SONOS system, is still there a possibility for anyone to ‘discover’ the Era 100’s bluetooth and connect to it? I live in an apartment and in the past I had a bluetooth speaker from Huawei and, one day while I was listening music, somebody paired a device to my speaker and started to play music through my speaker, and I want to avoid it =)
Thanks again!
To your question
“if I set up the Era 100 on WiFi and as a part of my SONOS system, is still there a possibility for anyone to ‘discover’ the Era 100’s bluetooth and connect to it?”
The answer is Yes and No
Any bluetooth sending device must first be paired with the Era 100 by following the directions in the picture. So unless someone can be physically in contact with your Era 100 following those directions they cannot establish a bluetooth connection to your Era 100.
On the other hand if the Era 100 is sending a Bluetooth signal and the other person has previously connected their device to your Era 100 (as described above) they can connect; if in signal range.
However, that would be a waste go time if not in the same room to hear what they are sending; unless they are just trying to maliciously annoy you.
A tu pregunta

Thanks a lot for your deep explanation, it has been very clear for me. I appreciate your help. All the best!
