For a reputable company I’m dumbfounded, this is hands down the most frustrating app I’ve ever used. It has been like this since they changed it, why hasn’t it been fixed ?
My Sonos speakers are just wireless speakers for my Spotify now (an app that does exactly what it’s supposed too with no issues), I never use the Sonos app anymore, only to group my speakers, which once again it won’t bloody do, Hense why I am writing this. Nothing in my life frustrates me more than this app 🤬🤬🤬

Why is the Sonos App so slow to do anything. ?

You should contact support as there might be a wifi or networking issue they can advise you to fix.
It’s a good sign that Spotify connect works. It’s likely other options will work as well like the Sonos desktop app or a third party app like SonoPhone (iOS, $3). There’s a lot of threads here going back to May where people gave posted positively about using these options instead of the POS new app.

The reason for @Pools-3015 ‘s questions is (I think) because he suspects that there is a problem in the way Sonos and your network are interacting. As indeed I do. The behaviour you report is not normal. The link below will run a screen recording I have just made of room grouping on the Sonos app on my system.
