Just in case you need it, there are some FAQs you may find useful:

First, the wireless and wired systems FAQ.

Also, the new router - installation instructions FAQ.

Which speakers? Sonos made a PLAY:1, which became (with some changes) the Sonos One, which eventually became the Sonos Era 100.  Unfortunately, there is no Sonos 1.

Establish how? Are you moving them from wired to wireless? Were they working before?

Not sure I did anything to help, but if they’ve not been connected for a while, I’d recommend updating the software, both running on the speakers, as well as your controller, by checking for updates in the controller.

Update is what caused the problem for me!  Every update causes issues like this. Contacting support means they blame my network. I’ve been a network engineer for 25 years with certs out the ying yang.  If I hadn’t invested thousands of $$$ in these fools, I would’ve dumped them long ago.  I guess if I had their conscience, or lack thereof, I could offload my systems (plural) onto some other rube.

I’d be happy to take them off your hands. While I’m not, nor have been, a network engineer, I have worked in online games for years and years, and haven’t had any issues with my various speakers. That being said, I have called in to Support a couple of times, when things weren’t working the way I expected, to great success (and some embarrassment on my part).

Same here, sucks to have some support type pat you on the head and hand you the solution to the problem you both caused and failed to diagnose.

Sucks more the second time, hoping to avoid #3!
