Factory reset both units….either unit sets up first all ok .

Second unit goes through the process all ok until it tries to connect to the router via temporary wifi facility ..

It sees and I can select the correct router ID but on proceeding it’s says the password is incorrect …

even though it was correct for the first unit ..

that’s it, back to square one !!!

That’s certainly odd. I have no gen 1 PLAY:5s to emulate your issue with S1, though. Have you tried to call Sonos Support directly to discuss it?

When you speak directly to the phone folks, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.
