S2 Compatibility - Play:1 and Sub (Gen 2)

The Sonos compatibility page says that these two of my Sonus devices – Play:1 and Sub (Gen 2) – are compatible with the new Sonos app. And that two devices – Connect and Connect:amp – are not compatible.

 

So I purchased a Port to replace the Connect to have my Sonos system with the new Sonos app.

 

But the new Sonos app says that the two devices listed as compatible by the Sonos compatibility page are actually not compatible. 

 

System upgrade says that no upgrades are available.

 

So which is it, compatible or not?

 

iOS ver 16.6.1

Sonos app ver 15.7.1

Sonos S1 app ver 11.10.1

Both the Play1 and Sub are S2 compatible.  What generation Connect and Connect:Amp?  There are a gen 1 and gen 2 of each, and gen 2 are S2 compatible.

Both the Play1 and Sub are S2 compatible.  What generation Connect and Connect:Amp?  There are a gen 1 and gen 2 of each, and gen 2 are S2 compatible.

Thanks, but none of Sonos’ instructions mention two very important words, which I eventually figured out on my own – “factory reset”. With that, all is working.
