I recently updated to apple iOS 16, and ever since then my Spotify app will ONLY connect to my Sonos speaker if I use AirPlay. Before it allowed me to connect by selecting device. This worked way better for me as I could play music in my daughter’s room while being able to hear audio on my phone (on IG, or YouTube) without interrupting her music. But now since I’m forced to use airplay I can only play music or my YouTube audio will push to her speaker.

 

anyone else seeing this issue? Any fixes? We tried updating the Sonos software but it keeps saying “error code - 800”

Hi. It is unlikely that this is a generic issue.  It sounds like your system is having problems contacting the Sonos servers.  The following link may be a help.  I would definitely recommend rebooting your system including modem / router.
