When watching TV - how can I resolve the popping and clicking noise from my Era 300?.

Best answer by Airgetlam

It depends on what is causing the pops.. Could be as simple as wifi interference , could be more complex, such as the data sent by the TV. It also might depend on how you’ve set them up, as surrounds connected to a Sonos soundbar, or as a line in directly to the TV.

I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, their lawyers get sensitive about GDPR.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

How did you connect your Era to the TV, a wired connection using the line-in device or over Bluetooth?

This is often caused by the TV audio output or connection.
Try switching the TV audio format to PCM or stereo instead of auto or surround.
Also check the HDMI or optical cable and reset it if needed.
If the issue continues, power cycle the TV and the speaker to reset the connection.

My SONOS Era is connected wireless through my AT&T internet gateway. None of my other speakers have that issue.

Ironically I currently have 2 subwoofers, 2 SONOS One speakers, 1 SONOS Era, and the SONOS Arc. And My SONOS Era is the only speaker that sounds like it is giving Morse code.
