I cannot get my system to work at all with the new app. I have several speakers in two homes and both systems are worthless. Is Sonos doing anything about this?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the new app. It's possible that Sonos is working on updates or fixes for issues like this. I recommend checking their support page for any troubleshooting tips or updates, or reaching out directly to their customer support team for assistance.

So - with trepidation I saw that Sonos pushed through another update yesterday which I have yet to download. I am at this stage loath to do so for my system had been stable for the past week. No plugging/unplugging of speakers, modem phone etc etc. Volume controls & source response almost instant, it was almost like the Sonos of fond memory! So, for those who have accepted the update, is it stable and safe to do so please??

I noticed that one fellow forgot to enable WiFi on his phone. Web browsing and email worked fine through the cell network. SONOS requires WiFi.

Is Sonos the Betamax of the 80’s?

The non-compatible internal guts! (NO Operating system?!?!?!?!) Unable to update existing speakers over the internets! I took the advice of an extremely kind, knowledgeable support person and purchased a NEW product from Sonos (that is Bluetooth compatible), Play 3 & Roam 2, play simultaneously  (was like freaking magic) to work that out. Appears my Play 3 will only ever “live” with the Ethernet Cable plugged in.

WHAT a shame/Sham!!!
UNLESS… there’s some secret extraordinary tech advice out there?

See link below. It explains the steps needed for older Sonos products… it should be fairly easy, as you have a .BLE capable device (Roam 2) that can first be setup on your (new?) WiFi in the same Household (HH).

When that steps complete, simply factory reset the Play:3 to add it back to the HH using ‘Add Product’ in the Apps ‘Settings/System’… that’s the easiest/quickest most straightforward way, albeit there are other methods to achieve the same outcome.

WHAT?!?! Man…F*** You AI answer

I think you should perhaps check your facts before going around making such ridiculous ‘wild’ accusations against genuine people who are trying to help. No need for the bad language either in this ‘open’ community forum, where youngsters may read these posts.

Anyhow the answers are ‘likely’ there in the Sonos support link provided. It’s entirely a matter for yourself if you wish to ignore that information.

I’m amused that @Ken_Griffiths would be considered AI. Although perhaps offended on his behalf.
