Connect Sonos App to Sonos Speakers

Use a Sonos product like the Sonos Amp or Port to provide a signal to the other speakers. Then they’ll play in sync. 

Are you referring to “any brand” passive ceiling or wall speakers? Or are you referring to “any brand” wireless speakers?

For passive wall, ceiling, bookshelf or floor standing speakers, you will need a Sonos Amp. The speakers will need to have a minimum load of 4 ohms in order for the Amp to power them safely.

If you are referring to wireless speakers from another manufacturer, you will not be able to add them to the Sonos app to control them.
