if I’m playing my 2 x era 100s and era 300 and try to add my playbar (with sub and surrounds) it shows as connected but no sound. I’ve reset everything more than once and it keeps happening. S2 app.

also, the app takes ages (several minutes) to find all devices.

The first thing I’d suggest is a network refresh. Unplug all Sonos devices, then reboot your router. Wait two minutes, then plug back in all your Sonos devices. Wait another two minutes, then open your controller, and check for updates, and apply them as necessary. Finally, group them, and test. You should be getting synchronized streaming music from all of them, or TV input, with the normal delay from the grouped rooms.

If that isn’t working, I would recommend that you submit a system diagnostic within 10 minutes of experiencing this problem, and call Sonos Support to discuss it. Don’t post the resulting diagnostic number here, Sonos’ lawyers get sensitive about GDPR, I suspect.

There may be information included in the diagnostic that will help Sonos pinpoint the issue and help you find a solution.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

Does the rest of the group continue to play?

The rest of the group continues to play.

I’ve reset everything (several times!!!) and spoken to Sonos Help - after several hours I think the issue is my BT smart hub.

At the moment I’m just going to have to accept that it won’t work😞.

What happens if you have your music source play to the soundbar room, and then you group in your other rooms to the Playbar?

Please stop resetting things, that isn’t going to help, as you have discovered.

Ideally add a real router to avoid using the BT Hub (if you cant get rid of it, just put it in Bridge mode to get it out of the way). BT have a long history of providing ODM devices to their customers that cause various problems with Sonos devices.

Can anyone recommend a router that will work properly?

Cheers

Would it help to permanently wire one of the speakers?

If so, it would have to be the era 100, so I would need an ethernet to usb c adapter (is that correct?)

Cheers

Who knows, without knowing why it’s happening. But yes, you need the combo adaptor from Sonos to use Ethernet cable on an Era speaker.

It normally wouldn’t, other than possibly that single Era 100, since newer Sonos speakers don’t support SonosNet.

Can any of you that have commonly available and working well with Sonos tell them which ones? My setup is not what they need.
