Hi there,

Our Amazon Firestick is controlling the Sonos Beam2 Soundbar and TV which is great but we cannot see the physical volume number when we adjust the volume.

ie, cannot see a number such as 10, 11, 12 etc. line we do with our other TV’s with soundbars and Firestick connected.

I feel like we have tried everything with no luck.

Anyone else have this issue?

Which model TV? ARC sends Volume numbers to the TV. The TV can ignore them. It’s possible that the TV is not configured to accept the numbers.

I have a Samsung TV in my living room and the numbers do not appear when using a soundbar. My brother in law has a LG and the same thing has happen with his soundbar.
I believe this is by design for many TV manufacturers who want you to use their soundbars with their TVs.

I don’t recall ever being able to ‘see’ the volume from a speaker, I can only hear it.

Over the weekend I setup an ARC and SANYO TV for a friend. Initially I was afraid that the TV was too old to support HDMI-ARC. Once I figured out that the TV was not configured for using the ARC channel or CEC, audio and Volume numbers appeared. I did have trouble with one Netflix movie audio that the TV did not support natively or over ARC.

As @Pools-3015 says, Samsung TV here with Arc soundbar - and no volume numbers. So it’s not unusual.
