Is Sonos developing waterproof speakers?

Best answer by Airgetlam

Sonos doesn’t talk about hardware before they’re ready to release it, but there have been many requests over the years for outside speakers. So far, no indication that it is on their roadmap. Sonos has moisture resistant speakers that might be OK in a bathroom or kitchen, but no waterproof, probably due to the fact that they have to be plugged in, and electrical plugs and water don’t mix.

Many people use the Sonos:Amp or Sonos CONNECT:AMP and keep them inside, and run the speaker wires to the “wet” location where they use purpose built speakers from other companies.
