I recently installed the sonance 6.1 speaker system using 14-4 outdoor rated wire

total length approx 200’ to last satellite speaker

app 140 feet from amp to sub woofer

wired up everything correctly

notice no bass from sub woofer

went to EQ setting s on app

adjusted bass treble loudness - still no bass from sub - I adjusted the L R balance bar a little bit then had bass from sub woofer - only get bass from subwoofer if the balance isn’t center - has to to off center to L or R to get bass - any idea - voltage drop ??

please ring it thanks in advance

Which subwoofer are you using?

EDIT: Never mind, in this system all of the speakers are SONANCE. Check your subwoofer wiring. I think you’ll find that one of the subwoofer channels has (+) and (-) reversed.

The one included with the sonance package

You could likely get better support for your Sonance speakers at the Sonance forum instead of here in the Sonos forum.

Did you get a Sonos Amp? If so be sure to add it to your profile here.

@buzz

I did in fact find reverse polarity on the entire left channel - problem solve THANK YOU !!

I was in a hurry - and I was used to using green as positive and white as negative it’s how I wired all my previous in wall speakers and volume controls in the past

thanks again for your help

Ella (my dog) loves to ROCK !! Me too
