Is the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO compatible with Sonos 5

Is the Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO better than the Sonos Pro-ject Debut carbon ?

The EVO works with the Play:5 or Five, but it also requires an external phono preamp. The Sonos edition has a built-in phono preamp.

From my understanding, the Sonos edition is basically the same model as the Espirit SB. Here is an article comparing the EVO with the Espirit:

Thank you solves my question re difference in build and quality.

@Johnas64240 - I have an older Pro-Ject Debut turntable without a pre-amp so I have an external one which works very well. Turntable is plugged into the Pre-amp and that is plugged into one of my Fives.

The one slight advantage I find to an external Pre-amp is being able to have the five a bit further away from the tunable, as you effectively have double the length of cables. It is advised not to use very long RCA cables to wire a turntable to an amp or powered speaker, so the extra component, adds this extra distance.

Thank you Sarah good advice
