Sonos Amp integration with Apple HomeKit

Hello, I’m running various Sonos zones throughout my home via Sonos Amps (9 of them) which power speakers in different rooms.  Since installation, I’ve always played music just fine via Airplay connection to the speakers throughout the home.

The issue I’m experiencing is that I’d like to add the Sonos Amps to Apple HomeKit so that I can run automations to play music at certain times, and also direct Siri to play from a Homepod or Phone to one of the Amps.  As I go through the process in Apple Home to add an accessory, all of the amps show as options to integrate, but the process continuously fails.

I’ve rebooted all amps.  I’ve rebooted my router and other smart home hubs.

All amps show as an accessory ready to be integrated into Apple Home.
Airplay error shows even though the Amps DO work via regular airplay playback from any device in the home.
After clicking “Ok” on the Airplay failure, this message from HomeKit shows.

To do this, you will need a HomeBridge server running on your network. I have an instance of HomeBridge so that I can view UniFi cameras, Honeywell thermostat and control Sonos from the Home App
